Technical Artist
**This is a full-time onsite position**
Game Machine Studios is seeking a talented Technical Artist to work on our current and upcoming projects. As a member of our development team, you’ll work closely with designers, engineers and other members of the art department to create high-quality art. The ideal candidate is self-driven, needs little direction, is proactive, and is open to feedback from others. Additionally, the candidate is versatile and possesses strong skills in other areas of art: illustration, modelling, texturing, animation, or concept drawing…essentially a “Jack of all trades.”

Requirements
  • A minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Technical Artist in game development
  • Deep knowledge of scripting, texturing/shading, lighting, rendering, and special effects
  • Strong knowledge of current 3D graphics techniques
  • Proficiency in industry-standard art tools and software
  • Clear communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of modern art pipelines
  • Great work ethic, and ability to maintain high-quality and consistent progress without constant supervision
  • Realistic understanding of technical limits, as well as having excellent technical problem solving skills
  • Shipped one or more titles on multiple platforms
Pluses
  • Experience creating 3D character and environment art
  • 2D art experience
  • Enjoys playing video games

Database Engineer

Requirements
  • Extensive experience with MySql
  • Extensive experience with Couchbase
  • Experience with other common Unix database systems used for supporting MMOs and analytics systems
  • Must be able to optimize transactions for highly scalable environments with millions of records of easily retrievable data

Graphics Programmer

Game Machine Studios is seeking a talented Graphics Programmer to work on our current and upcoming next-gen projects. As a member of our development team, you’ll work closely with designers, artists, and other members of the tech department to define and develop cutting edge 3D rendering technology within the constraints of the target system and performance characteristics of the game and engine. The ideal candidate is self-driven, needs little direction, is proactive, and is open to feedback from others.

Requirements
  • Over 3 years of professional experience in creating 3D graphic libraries for Wii/WiiU/PS3/Xbox 360
  • Excellent 3D math and physics skills
  • Excellent C/C++ programming skills
  • Expert debugging skills
  • Highly skilled in performance optimization
  • Clear communication skills
  • Good knowledge in rendering tech including (lighting, shadows, skinning, sfx, etc.)
  • Strong work ethic, and ability to maintain high quality and consistent progress without constant supervision

You will primarily work in Unity 3D, but your programming capabilities should extend into a standard console development environment using our propriety technology. The ideal candidate is self-driven, needs little direction, is proactive, and is open to feedback from others.

Requirements
  • Fluency in C++ and C#
  • Experience with next-gen console development
  • A solid understanding of objected oriented design and programming concepts
  • Design and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable technologies
  • Expert debugging skills
  • Highly skilled in performance optimization
  • Clear communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, and ability to maintain high quality and consistent progress without constant supervision
  • Shipped one or more titles on multiple platforms
  • 2+ years of Unity 3D experience
